FREE Church Plant Resource: Stock Images

Whether you’re designing a website or print piece, a good graphic really is worth a 1,000 words.

What’s the Problem?

One of the most difficult things about design to be finding images to use.   So where do you go? You could go to Google Images and illegally pirate other people’s images, but that’s probably not the best way to be Christ to your community. You could go to a commercial site like Getty or iStock and pay premium prices. But get real; you’re a church plant! ALSO BE WARNED: at the commercial sites, soft porn abounds. Don’t light up your accountability software by surfing around there!

What to Do

Thanks to Jeremy over at RocketPlant Studio for this dual tip:

You can find free stock images at Stock Exchange. There are some paid images there, too, but enough free ones to choose from that you should find something to use. Be sure to respect the artist’s request if they’ve asked you to notify them that you’re using it, or put any restrictions on how it can be used. But the price is sure right!
